ST JOHN'S LUTHERAN CHURCH
St John's was founded in 1745 and is considered one of the oldest churches in active ministry in North Carolina.  In 2025, we celebrate 280 years of ministry in Cabarrus County.
St John's is located in eastern Cabarrus County about 7 miles east of downtown Concord, NC.  Our property includes a historic church and sanctuary, an education building that houses our Pre-School, a fellowship hall, and a Heritage Center.
Join us for worship at 10:00 am and Sunday school at 9:00 am.
NEWCOMERS AND VISITORS:
We hope that you feel welcome at our services and events!  Our Sunday service is held in our historic sanctuary.  When you enter the narthex, our ushers will welcome you and ask you to sign our guest register.  If needed, the restroom is to the right and an infant care room is to the left.  In the sanctuary, please sit where you are comfortable.  Children are always welcome during our services!  During worship, Lutherans will stand during portions of the service and be seated at other times, as they are able.
All are welcome to receive Holy Communion. Babies and young children will receive a blessing from our pastor.  In each tray, grape juice is in the middle and the outside is wine. If you would like to discuss baptism or SJLC communion practices with children, please feel free to contact the pastor.
